Master SaAm was high priest in the Buddhist sect and one of the three great physicians of the Chosun Dynasty in Korea 400 years ago. After meditating for 13 years in a cave, SaAm opened his mind's eye, and saw through to the core of Acupuncture's mystery. According to his only surviving clinical record, he claimed to have cured a patient who had been suffering from an ailment for dozens of years in a single treatment.
SaAm acupuncture, which is one of the original therapeutic modalities representing traditional Korean medicine, is a unique treatment method that has a different origin than the modalities from China and Japan.

Mainly selects and uses the points located below the elbows and knees, so patient is treated in sitting position whereas other methods use the points all over the body

Uniqueness of SaAm Acupuncture
SaAm Acupuncture treats and observes the patient as a holistic subject, and thus treats the ailment at the point of its origin. Therefore, SaAm Acupuncture is essentially considered as Mind Acupuncture. The basic strategies of treating health conditions with the SaAm model is to harmonise an unbalanced internal body condition with the opposite energetic quality. For example if we find that someone has a very dry and cold condition we can balance this by increasing warm and moist aspects.
This style of Acupuncture has proven that the meridians serve as the path by which the mind manifests its various dispositions. In each of the 12 regular Meridians, there are sixty acupoints in which the particular characteristics of each of the Five Elements (Metal, Water, Earth, Wood, Fire) are concentrated. SaAm Acupuncture is effective and safe because it treats primarily those sixty acupoints which are found at the ends of the limbs, and below the elbows and knees.
SaAm Acupuncture is a method which requires the therapist to use only 1 to 8 needles on Five Element points to cure various illnesses at the point of real origin. The Five Element points are found at the end of limbs, so patients do not have to go through the inconvenience of removing their clothes.
